When only the best roller shutter will do!

Roller shutters can be very effective in significantly reducing noise and can sometimes reduce external noise by up to 50%. However, the amount the noise that is reduced depends on many factors, including:

– The type of noise

– Construction type of the building

– Location of the shutters

Options to operate your roller shutters via your smartphone are available. This gives you the ability to control your shutters from anywhere in the world providing there is a Wi-Fi connection.

The CW Shutters range is covered by a 5 Year Guarantee for all roller shutters and motors, and 12 Months for most controls.

If using the shutter once a day to open and close, PowerSmartTM batteries are designed to provide 4-5 weeks of charge prior to needing to be re-charged.

Life expectancy for batteries can depend on the application and the frequency of use. The CW Shutters PowerSmartTM and SolarSmart PlusTM range feature high-quality batteries that are designed to provide years of hassle-free operation.

Our range of batteries come with a 12 Month Warranty.

A reveal fit installation is more secure because when fully closed, the fixing points are on the inside of the opening recess and cannot be accessed. A face fit installation is fitted to the face of the building’s opening and does not obstruct any views from the inside of the home.

No, an electrician is not required for our range of 12V systems (PowerSmartTM and SolarSmart PlusTM). Electricians are only required for installations of 240V mains-powered systems.

Your PowerSmartTM unit will give you a warning when your PowerSmartTM battery is low, giving you ample opportunity to charge your battery before the battery goes flat. Should the system be completely flat, you can plug in your PowerSmartTM charger into your PowerSmartTM wall cradle, and operate your roller shutter after approximately 15 mins of charging and whilst the system is charging thereafter. If you have another PowerSmartTM powered shutter with charge in the battery, you can use this battery.

In most cases, if only the roller shutter curtain is damaged, it can be easily replaced. If any further damage is done to other parts of the roller shutter system, a replacement may be needed for the whole shutter.

For shutters located near the ocean, we recommend that the shutters have a coastal pre-treatment applied along with regular cleaning. This significantly reduces the chance of corrosion.

Roller shutters require a low level of ongoing maintenance. However, to maximise the lifespan of your roller shutter we recommend regular cleaning and care. Please view the link to our care guide to ensure years of hassle-free operation.

CW Shutters roller shutters are made using high-quality aluminium. Depending on the product, the slats can either be foam filled for added insulation and noise reduction (commonly used in residential applications), or double-wall extruded slats to provide added strength (commonly used for garage doors and commercial applications).

Depending on the control system or roller shutter type, most of our roller shutters can include locking options. Be sure to mention this feature when getting a quote. Our innovative LockSafeTM Roller Shutter product comes with a unique locking-pin design.

CW Shutters come in Australia’s widest range of colour options, with an extensive standard range offered. In most cases, shutters can also be powder coated to any Dulux and Interpon colour selected by the customer.

Roller shutters are typically operated from the inside, either by manual or electric operational methods. Manually operated spring-loaded shutters can be operated from the outside. Motorised roller shutters with remote control options can be operated from either the inside or the outside. Please note that transmitters and switches are not waterproof and need to be kept out of the weather and installed indoors.

Roller shutters are a multifunctional product that can:

– Provide a level of protection against intruders

– Reduce noise

– Block out light

– Improve insulation qualities within the home.

This makes roller shutters a much more functional and better value option than other window and door furnishings.

Existing manual roller shutters can generally be converted to become motorised. Be sure to contact a CW Shutters authorised retailer or dealer to get the right advice when converting your shutters.

We offer a wide range of control options including manual controls – such as strap or cord winders – and spring-loaded options featuring a key lock. Many motorised options are also available, including 12V battery or solar systems, 240V switch operated or remote control options. Various motorised 240V shutters can be supplied with manual override options also.
